WHEREAS:

The Town has been notified of the Department of Justice Community Oriented Police Office (COPS) three-year grant awarded in the amount of $250,000 with a 25% match to help fund two additional police officers,

and

BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Town Council authorized the acceptance of the 2024 COPS Hiring Program three-year grant to include at 25% grant match which is included in the fiscal year 2025 police department budget

and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Finance Director is authorized hereby to execute said grant agreement on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
