THE TOWN OF MIDDLETOWN

RESOLUTION

OF THE

COUNCIL

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown desired to engage an owner project manager for services for renovating the building at 110 Enterprise Center for the purpose of being a library, and,

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown put forward a request for qualifications that proposals were forwarded for review and recommendation to the Library Building Committee, and,

WHEREAS:

The Library Building Committee unanimously agreed to recommend Downes Construction,

RESOLVED:

That the Town Council approves the recommendation for Downes Construction, of Warwick, RI as the owner project manager for the amount of two hundred ten thousand four hundred ninety dollars and zero cents ($210,490.00) and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That funding for this proposal is to be from the Bond Proceeds and all expenses will be recorded in the Town’s Capital Projects Fund. The Town’s General Fund’s fund balance will fund all invoices prior to bond issuance and the Town’s General Fund will be reimbursed once funds become available, and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Finance Director is authorized hereby to execute an agreement on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
