A Resolution to Award a Contract: Statistical Update of Real Property Values

WHEREAS, the City of Newport is required by Rhode Island General Laws to have a statistical update of real property assessment every three years; and

WHEREAS, City staff issued a Request for Proposals and received and evaluated three responses. Staff is recommending award of contract to Tyler Technologies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, the City Council approves the award of contract to Tyler Technologies for the Statistical Update and Revaluation of real property located in the City of Newport for purposes of assessment for a contract cost of $219,000, and authorizes the Council Chair to sign the contract for same, upon review of the City Solicitor’s office, on behalf of the City.
