WHEREAS:

Town Resolution No. 68-89 authorizes non-classified employees to receive benefits as prescribed by existing bargaining agreements for their respective departments, and

WHEREAS:

Non-classified employees hired to work for the Town of Middletown, RI, bring considerable work experience and knowledge to their positions;

BE IT RESOLVED:

That non-classified employees be awarded nineteen (19) days of paid vacation beginning with each fiscal year for years of employment 1-15 years, and twenty-six days (26) of paid vacation for more than 15 years of employment with the town, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,

That for the first year of employment, that the non-classified employee receives a proportionate number of vacation days based on this allowance from their date of hire until the end of the fiscal year in which they were hired, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That this allowance of paid vacation days will be extended to the following employees listed below unless the personal employment contract or the contractual bargaining agreement associated with the employee allows a higher number of paid vacation days:
