2024-70 Resolution of the Council, re: Agreement with Lauren Stara as Middletown Library Project Consultant and authorizing the Finance Director to execute the contract on behalf of the Town. December 16, 2024

RESOLUTION

OF THE

COUNCIL
No: 2024-70

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown’s Library Board of Trustees has identified a library consultant to assist in the strategic planning and design of the new library space at 110 Enterprise Center as required by the state regulation for public library construction,

and,

RESOLVED:

That the Middletown Town Council agrees to enter into an agreement with Lauren Stara as an independent library consultant in the amount of five thousand four hundred dollars and zero cents ($5,400.00) for estimated thirty-six hours of work and any additional hours over the estimated amount will be billed to the town in the amount of one hundred and fifty dollars per hour,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That funding for agreement will be funded through general fund operations of the library department and to be later reimbursed from bond proceeds,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Finance Director is authorized hereby to execute this agreement on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
