RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2024-124

WHEREAS: The Director of Public Services requested sealed proposals for the replacement of the three lower roofs at The Martin Recreation Center RFP #2025-PS-003, with bids received on October 9, 2024, and;

WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the lowest and most responsive bidder being A & M Sheet Metal & Roofing Inc. of Riverside, RI, at its bid prices for a not to exceed project total of $180,100.00 for contract construction work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: That the bid of A & M Sheet Metal & Roofing Inc. of Riverside, RI, is hereby accepted and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor, in the amount of $180,100.00 with an additional $10,000.00 in project contingency to be held in reserve by the city and the total project cost of $190,100.00 is hereby approved.
