WHEREAS:

The Town has been notified of a 2023 Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank grant called the Municipal Resilience Program in the amount of $69,600 to fund the Paradise Avenue Pump Station flood mitigation improvements that consist of installation of waterproof membrane around the foundation, installing floodproof vents and doors, raising HVAC equipment, and floodproofing manhole covers and,

WHEREAS:

The grant requires minimum of the match of the Town of 25% which totals $17,400, now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Town Council authorizes the Town Administrator to accept the grant and execute the grant agreement and allocate town matching funds from the Sewer Fund in the amount of $17,400.
