The Middletown School Committee Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Theresa Spengler.
Building Committee members present were William Nash, Co-Chair, Rosemarie Kraeger, Theresa Spengler, Tami Holden, Poe George, Thomas P. Welch, III, Peter Connerton, Donna Sweet, Michelle Fonseca, Shawn Brown, Don Morin, Theresa Spengler, Peter Connerton, Tom Welch, Shawn Brown, Don Morin, and Marc Thayer.
Middletown Town Council members present were Council President Paul Rodrigues, Vice President Thomas P. Welch, III, Peter Connerton, Christopher Logan, Dennis Turano, and Barbara VonVillas.
William Niemeyer, Principal, J.H. Gaudet Middle School was the Administrative staff member present.
Derek Osterman, Colliers Senior Director Project Manager was also present.
AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH BENTLEY COMPANIES
1) Tami Holden 2) Greg Huet. That the School Committee authorize the Town Council to negotiate and execute an agreement with Bentley Companies for MIDD-024-009 on behalf of the Town for pre-construction services for renovation work to be completed at Middletown Senior High School, Forest Avenue Elementary School and Aquidneck Elementary School. Unanimous vote.
AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH GILBANE BUILDING COMPANY
1) Tami Holden 2) Greg Huet. That the School Committee authorize the Town Council to negotiate and execute an agreement with Gilbane Building Company for MIDD-024-008 on behalf of the Town for pre-construction services for the Middletown Middle High School. Unanimous vote.
