2025-59 Award of Contract - RFP # 2025-PS-015 – Citywide Quarterly Fire Alarm Testing and On-Call Maintenance

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL
No. 2025-59

WHEREAS: The City of Newport requested Sealed Bids for Citywide Quarterly Fire Alarm Testing and Maintenance, RFP# 2025-PS-015. Bids were received on March 17, 2025; and

WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the lowest and most responsive bidder, Coastal Electric, Inc. of Newport, RI, at a not to exceed cost of $25,000.00 annually. Award shall be for the base period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with two (2) one-year option periods (same months), at the discretion of the City, in accordance with all terms and specifications contained within the bid documents; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: That the bid of Coastal Electric, Inc. of Newport, RI, is hereby approved at an annual not to exceed total cost of $25,000.00 and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
