RESOLUTION

No. 2026-42
WHEREAS: The Director of Public Services requested sealed proposals to provide Watersports Concessions at Easton’s Beach, RFP# 2026-REC-002 that were received on January 28, 2026; and,
WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to Rhody Surf, Inc. of Newport, RI, as meeting all specifications included in RFP# 2026-REC-002, dated January 7, 2026, for the operation of surfboard and paddleboard lessons and rentals at Easton’s Beach, for a period of one year, with three additional one-year option periods at the discretion of the City, including payments to the City of $26,000.00 in 2026, $26,000.00 in 2027 (option year 1), $26,000.00 in 2028 (option year 2) and $26,000.00 in 2029 (option year 3). NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED: That the bid proposal of Rhody Surf, Inc. of Newport, RI, is accepted, and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said agreement, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
