MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL

WORKSHOP RE: BUDGET OVERVIEW-PUBLIC SAFETY, POLICE, FIRE, PARKING AND MARITIME

The following items of business, filed with the City Clerk under the Rules of the Council, came before the Council at a workshop held on April 22, 2025, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 43 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.

Also present were Colin Kennedy, City Manager, Michael Caruolo, Deputy City Manager, Ryan Duffy, Police Chief, Harp Donnelly, Fire Chief and Stephen Land, Harbor Master. The workshop commenced at 5:30 p.m. Harp Donnelly, Fire Chief, Pat Segerson, Parking Supervisor and Stephan Land, addressed the Council regarding their department budgets. Discussion occurred among the Council.
