THE CITY OF NEWPORT
RESOLUTION
OF THE
COUNCIL
No.2024-94
WHEREAS pursuant to Council Resolution 2024-14, the City Council requested the RI General Assembly to enact legislation authorizing the City to issue not to exceed $98,500,000 general obligation bonds and notes to finance the various infrastructure improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, the General Assembly approved legislation 2024-S3092 authorizing the City to move forward with the bond referendum to be presented to the voters at the November 2024 election; and
WHEREAS, projects and allocations for the $98.5 Million bond referendum are as follows:

RESOLVED: The above allocations are based on estimates only, and actual costs of the work may exceed estimates, requiring this Council at a later date to prioritize projects and reallocate proceeds from one project to another.
