RESOLUTION

OF THE

COUNCIL

No: 2025-87

WHEREAS:

The Town received a letter from the City of Newport dated September 26, 2025,
requesting Middletown’s annual commitment of $50,000.00 for each of FY2026
through FY2031 in support of the Community Learning Center Project Director at
the Florence Gray Center,

AND

WHEREAS:

Middletown wishes to commit to annual support of $50,000.00 for each of
FY2026 through FY2031,

THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED:

That annual support of the Community Learning Center Project
Director of the Florence Gray Center of $50,000 for each of FY2026
through FY2031 be approved and funded from the additional 1% local
hotel tax
