RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Section 4.12.040 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Newport provides that the City Council each year shall adopt, by resolution on or before the first regularly-scheduled meeting in March, a Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, Section 4.12.040 also provides that a public hearing is to be held at least one week prior to adoption of the Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, on February 11, 2026, the Council held a public hearing to solicit comments on the Recommended FY2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the Council of the City of Newport hereby adopts, in concept, the Recommended FY2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program, with the first year to be incorporated into the FY2027 Proposed Operating Budget, as funding allows.
