2024-23 Resolution of the Council, re: Pledging to Keep Rhody Litter Free.

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No: 2024-23

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown put forward a request for proposal for a construction manager at risk for renovations at Middletown Senior High School, Forest Avenue Elementary School, and Aquidneck Elementary School. The responses that were received were forwarded to the School Building Committee,

and,

WHEREAS:

The School Building Committee unanimously agreed to recommend Bentley Companies,

and,

RESOLVED:

That the Town Council approve the recommendation to enter into negotiations and agreement for pre-construction services for renovation work to be completed at Middletown Senior High School, Forest Avenue Elementary School, and Aquidneck Elementary School with Bentley Companies of Providence, Rhode Island for an amount not to exceed sixty-three thousand five hundred dollars and zero cents ($63,500), subject to a mutually agreed upon contract,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That funding for this proposal is to be from the School Construction Bond Proceeds and all expenses recorded in the School Department’s Capital Projects Fund,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Town Administrator is authorized hereby to negotiate and execute an agreement on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
