DISTRICT/SCHOOL DATA SUPPORT PERSONNEL
** JOB GOAL**:
To assist in the administration of the District’s and school’s data/business administrative activities so as to provide the maximum educational services for students with regard to data collection and financial resources.
Data Support Personnel are classified in two Categories A and B.
District/School Data Support Personnel A is a 261 day employee based at a school as well as a 217 employee based at a school or Central Office.
District/School Data Support Personnel B is a 261 day employee based at Central Office, Business Office.

1. Knowledge, understanding and demonstrated aptitude or competence in the performance responsibilities listed below.
2. Must possess strong organizational skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects professionally.
3. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize tasks and work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
4. Demonstrated computer skills.
5. Must be team oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Must be willing to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested.
7. Must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as required by law.
JOB DESCRIPTION__**: (Essential Common Functions)
1. Meet and support the needs of the Building Principal, District Personnel, Technology Department and Guidance Department.
2. Demonstrated experience with technology applications as they relate to the data management and Business Office.
3. Maintain confidentiality concerning parents, students, personnel and other school related matters, including all communication.
4. Experience in a Business/Accounting environment.
5. Maintain a high level of office organization.
6. Process various Federal and State reports as required.
7. Maintain various databases.
8. Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping.
9. Multi-task orientated.
10. Maintain and or develop data systems.
11. Research and prepare reports as requested with regard to contracts and benefits information.
12. Supply each school with up to date chart of accounts and vendor list to facilitate accurate preparation of purchase orders.
13. Handle and process all purchase orders
14. Adhere to purchase orders to bid specs and prices.
15. Coordinate student data with regard to transcripts and scheduling
16. Ability to work independently and under the direction of others.
Category B
1. Receive payroll data and compute all payrolls; coordinate and process payments of all payroll deductions.
2. Verify gross amounts of all payroll checks and transactions.
3. Maintain computerized payroll/personnel database, including but not limited to, setup, data entry, W-2 processing, report generation and interfacing with other automated systems.
4. Calculate and prepare all payroll and related costs for budget purposes as requested.
5. Awareness of generally accepted payroll management functions, including tax tables, benefit deductions, 403(b) deductions and salary adjustments.
6. Prepare end of year payroll accruals and reports.
7. Administer and coordinate all Department of Labor and Training rules, procedures and reports.
8. Respond to Federal, State and local employee survey requests as approved by the Superintendent.
9. Respond to verification of employment and wage history requests.
10. Prepare communications related to payroll, certification, retirement, employment, attendance and benefits.
11. Respond to employees’ requests to for salary, payroll and leave information and balances.
12. Verify changes and accuracy of monthly health, dental and life insurance invoices.
13. Perform tasks or services consistent with the job goal of the position.
14. Assume other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
