RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2024-139

WHEREAS: the Superintendent of Facilities and Management advertised RFP# 2025-POL-001 to install (1) new complete Samsung 15,000 btu ductless heat pump system at the Newport Fire Department Headquarters Dispatch Center, located at 21 West Marlborough Street; and

WHEREAS: award has been recommended to the lowest responding bidder, being Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC, 505 Narragansett Park Drive Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02861, at their bid price of $27,878.00, for the project to be completed under the terms and conditions of RFP# 2025-POL-001. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the bid of Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC, 505 Narragansett Park Drive Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02861, is hereby accepted in the amount of $27,878 and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
