2024-33 Capital Improvement Program – Adoption in Concept

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No.2024-33

WHEREAS, Section 9-19 of the City Charter of the City of Newport provides that the City Council each year shall adopt, by resolution on or before the first regularly-scheduled meeting in April, a Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, Section 9-19 also provides that a public hearing is to be held at least one week prior to adoption of the Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, on March 13, 2024, the Council held a public hearing to solicit comments on the Recommended FY2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the Council of the City of Newport hereby adopts, in concept, the Recommended FY2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program, with the first year to be incorporated into the FY2025 Proposed Operating Budget, as funding allows.
