2024-24 Resolution of the Council, re: Town Administrator is authorized hereby to negotiate and execute an agreement on behalf of the Town for pre-construction services for the Middletown Middle High School .

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No: 2024-24

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown put forward a request for proposal for a construction manager at risk for the Middletown Middle High School. The responses that were received were forwarded to the School Building Committee,

and,

WHEREAS:

The School Building Committee unanimously agreed to recommend Gilbane Building Company,

and,

RESOLVED:

That the Town Council approve the recommendation to enter into negotiations and agreement for pre-construction services for Middletown Middle High School with Gilbane Building Company of Providence, Rhode Island for an amount not to exceed two hundred fifty thousand dollars and zero cents ($250,000), subject to a mutually agreed upon contract,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That funding for this proposal is to be from the School Construction Bond Proceeds and all expenses recorded in the School Department’s Capital Projects Fund,

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Town Administrator is authorized hereby to negotiate and execute an agreement on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
