Resolved: the City Council of Newport approves the transfer of $75,000 in unallocated American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to a project in the grant fund for the purchase of a van for the Edward King House Senior Center.

WHEREAS: the State of Rhode Island's Master Price Agreement #494, Architecture Engineering Services, presents BL Companies New England, Inc., of Warwick, RI, as a qualified vendor able to provide the required services for use by the City of Newport for services associated with the professional architecture engineering services for the renovation or rebuilding of the existing 2,833 SF Harbormaster building. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: that the City of Newport hire BL Companies New England, Inc., of Warwick, RI via RI MPA #494, for a not to exceed cost of $59,500.00, and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.

WHEREAS: the State of Rhode Island’s Master Price Agreement (RIMPA) #151 Travel Management Services, Award No. 3712227, presents Travelline Travel Agency, Inc dba Direct Travel, Inc. of Willoughby, OH as a qualified vendor able to provide travel management services for the purposes of travel reservations for city staff and elected officials. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: that the contract by and between the City of Newport and Travelline Travel Agency, Inc dba Direct Travel, Inc. of Willoughby, OH, is hereby approved to provide travel management related services in accordance with RIMPA #151 and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
