MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL

WORKSHOP RE: BUDGET OVERVIEW- UTILITIES AND WATER POLLUTION CONTROL

The following items of business, filed with the City Clerk under the Rules of the Council, came before the Council at a workshop held on April 30, 2025, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 43 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.

Also present were Colin Kennedy, City Manager, Elizabeth Sceppa, Budget and Finance Analyst, Jim Nolan, Finance Director and Christopher J. Behan, City Solicitor. The workshop commenced at 5:30 p.m. Robert Schultz, Director of Utilities, addressed the Council to provide a presentation regarding the total budget overview. Discussion occurred among the Council members, Mr. Schultz, and Teresa Crean, Director of Resiliency and Sustainability.
