RESOLUTION
OF THE
COUNCIL
No. 2025-122
WHEREAS: the City of Newport is required to complete its Comprehensive Plan Update, with all necessary state and local reviews, by May of 2027; and
WHEREAS: a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was issued, and five (5) consultant teams responded, four (4) of which were deemed responsive and thee (3) of which were interviewed; and
WHEREAS: a Selection Committee consisting of City staff and City Board and Commission members reviewed all submittals and recommended Interface Studio LLC along with their subconsultant team of Ninigret Partners, Toole Design, and Woods Hole Group, as the most qualified proposal and team for completion of the 2027 Comprehensive Plan Update contract. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: that the Agreement with Interface Studio LLC in an amount not to exceed $300,000 is hereby approved and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said agreement on behalf of the City upon favorable review by the City Solicitor.
