2024-28 Award of Bid 24-073 - Easton’s Beach Demolition

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2024-28

WHEREAS: the Director of Public Services requested sealed bids for the Easton’s Beach Demolition project, RFP #24-073, with bids received on March 1, 2024, and;

WHEREAS: award has been recommended to the lowest, most responsive bidder being A.A. Asbestos Abatement Co., Inc., of Johnston, RI, at its base bid price for the project of $727,614.00, the alternate item for waterproofing of $6,800.00, and $100,000.00 for project contingencies (to be held in reserve by the City) for a total project cost not to exceed $834,414.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the bid of A.A. Asbestos Abatement Co., Inc., of Johnston, RI, is hereby accepted and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor and the total project cost in the amount of $834,414.00 is hereby approved.
