2024-56 Award of Contract – Demolition of Elm Street Pier

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2024-56

WHEREAS: the City of Newport, Harbor Division requested sealed proposals for the Demolition and temporary construction of the Elm St Pier, solicited under Bid#24-427. Bids were received on May 17th, 2024; and

WHEREAS: award has been recommended to the sole responding bidder, Reagan Marine Construction of Newport, RI, in the amount of $224,315. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the bid of Reagan Marine Construction, Newport Rhode Island, is hereby accepted at a total cost of $224,315 and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
