RESOLUTION

COUNCIL
No. 2026-91
WHEREAS: The Chief of Police requested sealed proposals for Concrete repair at the Gateway Center Parking Garage, RFP #2026-PS-007, with bids received on January 8,2026;
WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the next lowest, most responsive bidder Scholar Painting, LLC. of Seymour, CT after R.J. Forbes Painting Contractor Inc. of Attleboro, MA, retracted their proposal at its bid price of $122,320.00 with an additional $10,000.00 in project contingency to be held in reserve by the city for a not to exceed project total of $132,320.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: That the bid of Scholar Painting, LLC. of Seymour, CT, is hereby accepted and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor, and the total project cost of $132,320.00, including $122,320.00 for anticipated contract construction work and $10,000.00 contingency, is hereby approved.
