2025-32 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Newport and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1080, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027

RESOLUTION

COUNCIL

No. 2025-32

WHEREAS: the City administration and the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Union have been negotiating a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) since the expiration of the last contract which expired in June of 2024; and

WHEREAS: the new CBA covers the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. NOW THEREFORE BE IT

RESOLVED: that the proposed collective bargaining agreement between the City and the IAFF Union for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027 is approved and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said agreement, upon review by the City Solicitor's office, on behalf of the City.
