RESOLUTION

No. 2024-86
WHEREAS: The Director of Public Services requested Sealed Bids for All City Buildings and All Newport Public Schools—Plumbing Contract Service, Bid #24-050, with bids received on July 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC, of Pawtucket, RI, at its bid price of $149.00/hour during normal working hours and $217.00/hour for after hour/emergency services. Award shall be for a one (1) base year period of July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, with two (2) one-year option periods (same months), at the discretion of the City, in accordance with all terms and specifications contained within the bid documents at the proposed rate per option year one and option year two. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: That the bid of Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC, of Pawtucket, RI, is hereby accepted at a total not to exceed annual expenditure of $50,000.00 and the Mayor is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
