RESOLUTION
OF THE
COUNCIL
No. 2026-16
WHEREAS: The Fire Chief requested sealed proposals for a new Roof, Gutters, and trim work at Fire Station 5 RFP #2026-PS-005, with bids received on November 12, 2025, and;
WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the lowest, most responsive bidder being Plan B Construction Company, LLC. Barrington, RI, at its bid price of $286,000.00 with an additional $30,000.00 in project contingency to be held in reserve by the city for a not to exceed project total of $316,000.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: That the bid of Plan B Construction Company, LLC. Barrington, RI, is hereby accepted and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor, and the total project cost of $316,000.00, including $286,000.00 for anticipated contract construction work and $30,000.00 contingency, is hereby approved.
