RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2026-40

WHEREAS: The Director of Public Services requested sealed bids for the Roadway Improvement Program 2026, Bid #2026-PS-008 with bids received on March 24, 2026; and

WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the lowest responsive bidder being P.J. Keating Company, of Lunenburg, MA, at their bid prices for a total of $1,913,396.69, including $1,659,964.19 for anticipated contract construction work, $83,432.50 of Police Traffic Control (to be paid for by the City), and $170,000.00 for project contingencies (to be held in reserve by the City); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the bid of P.J. Keating Company, of Lunenburg, MA, is hereby accepted and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor and the total project cost in the amount of $1,913,396.69, including $1,659,964.19 for anticipated contract construction work, $83,432.50 Police Traffic Control, and $170,000.00 contingency, is hereby approved.
