2025-80 Resolution of the Council, re: Approving recommendation of Ahlborg Construction Corporation as construction manager at risk for the Library Renovation at 110 Enterprise Center, funding from the Bond Proceeds and all expenses will be recorded in the Town’s Capital Projects Fund and the Town Administrator is authorized to execute the agreements on behalf of the Town. October 6, 2025

WHEREAS:

The Town of Middletown put forward a request for proposals for construction manager at-risk for the Town of Middletown Library Renovation at 110 Enterprise Center, that were forwarded for review and recommendation to the Library Building Committee

and,

WHEREAS:

After review, the Library Building Committee agreed to recommend Ahlborg Construction Corporation as the construction manager at-risk,

and,

WHEREAS:

At their September 23, 2025 meeting, the Library Board of Trustees, unanimously approved the negotiated agreement with Ahlborg Construction Corporation,

and,

RESOLVED:

That the Town Council approves the recommendation for Ahlborg Construction Corporation, of Warwick, RI as the construction manager at-risk in the amount of six million three hundred seventeen thousand two hundred eleven dollars and zero cents (6,317,211.00),

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That funding for this proposal is to be from the Bond Proceeds and all expenses will be recorded in the Town’s Capital Projects Fund

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the Town Administrator is authorized hereby to execute the agreements on behalf of the Town of Middletown.
