2025-44 Requesting the City Administration to implement two hour parking on Broadway, from the corner of Marlborough Street to the corner of Farewell Street and on Spring Street from the corner of Memorial Boulevard to the corner of Pelham Street

COUNCIL

WHEREAS, Parking in The City of Newport has been for many years and continues to be, a challenge for city residents; AND

WHEREAS, There must be a balance regarding public parking which allows for "turnover" and the ability for residents of the city and others to enjoy the services that city businesses provide; NOW TEREFORE BE IT:

RESOLVED: That the city administration shall take the necessary steps to make Broadway, from the corner of Marlborough Street to the corner of Farewell Street, two hour parking but keep the two 15 minute parking spaces at the corner of Broadway and Farewell in place.
