AN ORDINANCE IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE TWO OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND, REVISION OF 1994, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED, "ADMINISTRATION."

BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Newport:

SECTION 1. Chapter 2.120 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Newport, Revision of 1994, as amended, entitled, "General Fee Schedule," is hereby further amended, as follows:

59. Police Detail Officer Rate. $60.25 effective March 1, 2021, to automatically increase by the amount of cost of living adjustments granted in any FOF (Fraternal Order of Police) collective bargaining agreement approved and duly authorized by the city council subsequent to July 1, 2021.

ADD: Police Vehicle Detail Rate. $25.00 per hour-4 hour minimum, except for RI DOT, which is charged at their highest allowable hourly rate.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage, and any ordinance or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
