2024-27 Contract - Strategic Plan Implementation Assistance

RESOLUTION

COUNCIL

No. 2024-27

WHEREAS, the City solicited proposals for a facilitator to aid the Council in updating and developing a strategic plan from qualified firms to provide Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Facilitation Services; and

WHEREAS, per Resolution #2023-40 dated April 26, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract for the above referenced services to Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, the Strategic Planning process has been ongoing throughout 2023 and 2024 with several workshops, public meetings and a public survey and the consultant is preparing the draft Strategic Plan for Council’s review and approval; and

WHEREAS, the City Administration is recommending that the consultant be retained for a one-year period following Council adoption of the new Strategic Plan to assist the City in the implementation phase of said plan. NOW THEREFORE BE IT

RESOLVED: the City Council approves the proposal for Strategic Plan Implementation Assistance with Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio for a not to exceed amount of $44,000 and the Mayor is authorized to sign a contract for same, upon review of the City Solicitor's office, on behalf of the City.
