WHEREAS: The City of Newport requested Sealed Bids for Water Treatment Chemicals, Bid # 2026-UTL-006. Bids were received on April 7, 2026; and

WHEREAS: Award has been recommended to the six (6) most responsive and lowest bidders being Borden & Remington Corp., Fall River, MA; International Dioxide, Inc., North Kingstown, RI; PVS Mini Bulk, Inc., Detroit, MI; Riverland Trading, LLC, Charleston, SC; Univar USA, Inc., Morrisville, PA; and VINeera Chemicals, LLC, at their unit prices as follows:

Polyaluminum Chloride: Univar USA, Inc., Morrisville, PA $2.205 per gallon
Sodium Hypochlorite: Univar USA, Inc., Morrisville, PA $2.43 per gallon
Commercial Grade Copper Sulfate Crystals: VINeera Chemicals, LLC $5,450.00 per Ton
Sodium Hydroxide(Liquid Caustic Soda) Borden & Remington Corp., Fall River, MA $0.9919 per gallon
