AN ORDINANCE IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE TWO OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND, REVISION OF 1994, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED, "ADMINISTRATION."

BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Newport:

SECTION 1. Chapter 2.120 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Newport, Revision of 1994, as amended, entitled, "General Fee Schedule," is hereby further amended, as follows:

2.120.010. Fees for permits and licenses.

The following fees for permits and licenses issued by the city are established:

4. Public Entertainment.
A. Annual
Class A $200.00-$500.00
Class B 200.00-$300.00
Class C 500.00 $700.00
B. Daily
Class A 15.00 $25.00
Class B 10.00 $15.00

An applicant for a daily entertainment license who files an application out of time for approval at a council meeting prior to the event shall pay to the city clerk, in addition to the license fee, a fifty dollars ($50.00) filing fee, is said license is approved by the city manager.

5. Special Event.
A. Not-for-Profit (501c.3)
Without admission fee: $10.00 $50.00 per event
With admission fee: -15.00 $60.00 per day
B. Religious organization: 10.00 $50.00 per event
C. All others: -25.00 $100.00 per day

D. For any event under any type of license that includes vendors, in addition to either the fee identified above or an annual license fee, whichever is applicable, there shall be a daily charge of twenty dollars

($10.00) $20.00 per vendor. There shall be an additional holiday license fee of fifteen dollars ($5.00) $15.00 per vendor for those vendors who do not have an annual city of Newport holiday selling license. For those vendors having a valid city of Newport annual holiday selling license there shall be no additional fee.

E. Filing/inspection fee: $15.00

An applicant for a special event license who files an application out of time for approval at a council meeting prior to the event shall pay to the city clerk, in addition to the license fee, a fifty dollars ($50.00) filing fee, if said license is approved by the city manager.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage, and any ordinance or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
