RESOLUTION
OF THE
COUNCIL
No. 2025-82
WHEREAS: the Department of Utilities has received a Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Narragansett Bay & Watershed Restoration Fund award for the purpose of CSO disconnection; and
WHEREAS: the State of Rhode Island, through its Department of Environmental Management has developed a grant agreement that outlines the requirements of the grant program; and
WHEREAS: The State of Rhode Island, through RIDEM, requests the City of Newport's execution of this agreement by signature. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: that the Newport City Council approves the RIDEM, Narragansett Bay & Watershed Restoration Fund Grant Agreement and authorizes the Council Chair to execute the agreement, by signature, on behalf of the City of Newport subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
