PUBLIC SESSION AGENDA

1.0 Opening Items

1.1 Call to Order: Chair Gregory Huet called the School Committee meeting to order at 12:06 pm at Michael S. Pinto Conference Room, 26 Oliphant Lane, Middletown, Rhode Island 02842.

1.2 Determination of Quorum: School Committee Members Present:  Chair Gregory Huet, Tami Holden and Clerk William Nash         Absent: Vice-Chair Wendy Heaney, Theresa Spengler

Also Present from School Department – Superintendent Willliam Niemeyer, Assistant Superintendent Michelle Fonseca, Director of Student Services Leslie Brow

2.0  Consideration and Vote on motion to convene in Executive Session to receive legal advice regarding personnel matter pursuant to provisions of RIGL, Sections 42-46-2, 42-46-4 and 42-46-5 (a) and personnel hearing pursuant to RIGL 42-46-5 (a)(1) and 16-12.1-1 et seq.

MOTION: 1) Tami Holden, 2) William Nash

That the School Committee convenes in Executive Session. Unanimous vote.

EXECUTIVE SESSION AGENDA

2. If necessary, hold an administrative hearing on termination of the Business Manager. RIGL 16-12.1-1 et seq. & 42-46-5 (a)(1).

PUBLIC SESSION AGENDA

3. Reconvene in Open Session

Notification to the public of compliance with R.I. Gen Laws 42-46-4 & 5 as to votes taken (if any) indicating individual members voting for matters in Executive Session.

4. Consideration and Vote to seal the minutes of the executive session pursuant to RIGL 42-46-7(c) and 42-46-4 & 5.

MOTION: 1) Tami Holden, 2) William Nash

That the School Committee seals the minutes from the Executive Session. Unanimous vote.

5. Termination Hearing re Business Manager pursuant to R.I. Gen Laws 16-12.1-1 et seq.

A stenographic record of the meeting was made and is on file.

Public Hearing on termination of the Business Manager. RIGL 16-12.1-1 et seq. & 42-46-5 (a)(1).

To continue an administrative hearing for the termination hearing on February 10, 2026 at 12:00 pm

ADJOURN FROM MEETING
