RESOLUTION

COUNCIL

No. 2025-158

WHEREAS: The City of Newport’s on-premises email system is outdated and unsupported; and

WHEREAS: In order to complete the City’s domain migration with original intent, users need to be migrated to hosted exchange; and

WHEREAS: It is a strategic planning pillar to provide excellent and well-resourced City services; and

WHEREAS: Custom Computer Specialists is under contract as our managed service provider with unique and proprietary knowledge of our infrastructure; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: The City Council of Newport approves the award of contract, not to exceed $127,362.10 to Custom Computer Specialists, LLC for the implementation of a G365 tenant and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the City, subject to favorable review by the City Solicitor.
