WHEREAS: Yachting Promotions, Inc. wishes to enter into an agreement with the City for the temporary use of Easton’s Beach parking lot to accommodate its daytime patrons of the Newport International Boat show during the daytime hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for the period September 11 to 14, 2025, inclusive and,
WHEREAS: Yachting Promotions, Inc. will provide its own staff to oversee all aspects of the Boat Show Parking Program at Easton’s Beach, indemnify the City for any personal injuries or property damage, and carry liability insurance in the amount of $1 million; and,
WHEREAS: The agreement specifies that the Yachting Promotions, Inc. payment be $12,829.00 for the 2025 Parking Program; and at the City’s option, up to one additional year at a rate of $13,470.00 for 2026. NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED: That the agreement with Yachting Promotions, Inc. for lease of space at the Easton’s Beach parking lot for parking during the Newport International Boat show for the period of September 11 to 14, 2025, inclusive, is approved and the Council Chair is authorized to sign said agreement on behalf of the City, upon favorable review of the City Solicitor’s office.
