APPROPRIATION OF COMMITTED FUND BALANCE FOR AREA TRAFFIC STUDY

WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting on November 12, 2025, awarded a contract to Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. to conduct a comprehensive traffic study for the area generally bounded by Thames Street, Memorial Boulevard, Bellevue Avenue, and Morton Avenue/Webster Street; and

WHEREAS, the total cost of the traffic study is $199,600; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Newport hereby appropriates $199,600 from the Committed Fund Balance to fund the traffic study awarded to Bowman Consulting Group Ltd; AND BE IT FURTHER

RESOLVED, that the City Manager and Finance Director are authorized to take all actions necessary to implement this appropriation.
