2024-110 Local Public Agency Agreement – RIDOT - Municipal Road & Bridge Program

RESOLUTION

OF THE
COUNCIL

No. 2024-110

WHEREAS: The City of Newport is committed to improving its roadway infrastructure; and

WHEREAS: The City of Newport, in partnership with the State of Rhode Island through its Department of Transportation, is preparing to advance roadway infrastructure improvements; and

WHEREAS: The City of Newport has been allocated $184,211.00 in Municipal Road and Bridge Program Funds from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT;) and

WHEREAS: RIDOT requests the City of Newport’s execution of this Local Public Agency Agreement to advance the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED: that the Mayor may, by signature, execute this agreement on behalf of the City of Newport upon final review and approval by the City Solicitor.
