2025-37 Exercise of Option Year – Watersports Concessions at Easton’s Beach

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS: the Director of Public Services recommended exercising option year three (3) to the agreement with Rhody Surf, Inc. of Newport, RI, to provide Watersports Concessions at Easton’s Beach; and

WHEREAS: City Council Resolution 2022-31 authorized award to Rhody Surf, Inc. of Newport, RI, meeting all specifications included in RFP# 22-024, dated 22 March 2022, for the operation of surfboard and paddleboard lessons and rentals at Easton's Beach, for a period of one year, and three additional one-year option years at the discretion of the City, including an annual payment to the City of $27,000.00 for calendar year 2025; and

WHEREAS: Rhody Surf, Inc. of Newport, RI has requested the City to exercise the option to extend said agreement for calendar year 2025 at the same terms and conditions. NOW THEREFORE BE IT

RESOLVED: the request to exercise option year three (3) of the agreement with Rhody Surf, Inc. to provide watersports concessions at Easton’s Beach for calendar year 2025 is hereby accepted, and the City Administration is authorized to sign the applicable documentation in connection therewith.
